Centralia Police say an investigation is continuing into a large fight that led to the stabbing of a 17-year-old Centralia man on Thursday night of last week.
Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says the victim was reportedly stabbed in the upper back and back of the head. Police learned of the incident when being called to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital at 7:57 Thursday night. The 17-year-old was later transferred to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.
Whritenour said Tuesday afternoon they had developed one key suspect who reportedly pulled a knife during the altercation on East 7th Street, but no arrest has been made as the investigation continues.
