The Salem Wildcat Bowlers brought home a regional championship with their win at Silver Dollar Lanes in Effingham. The Cats were in 2nd place heading into the final game of the day when they were able to overtake Breese Central and beat them by 7 pins. Also advancing were Mt Vernon and Mascoutah.
Salem also had the individual champion in Dylan Kuhns who shot 1376 and was 25 pins ahead of 2nd place, teammate Kai Graham. Jaxon Ward and Nicholi Marhanka were 11th and 12th with Carter Shanafelt 17th.
Mt Vernon’s Raymond Andrews was 4th, Brody Elliott 6 and Trace Elliott 15.
Centralia’s Chase Finley also qualified for the Mt Vernon Sectionals next week.
Not advancing were the Orphans who were 9th, Christ Our Rock 11th, Woodlawn 12, Mater Dei 13 and North Clay 14.
