Franklin Park Lady Bobcats opened up defense of their SIJHSAA Class L state title with a regional semifinal win at home over Carlyle 51-7. Lyla Beyers had 15, Kenna Benjamin 14 and Lexie Malan 13. Salem will play Wesclin in tonight’s finals at Trenton after they knocked off Centralia in their opener 55-36.
In Class S regional action last night, St Mary/Willow Grove beat Trinity Hoffman 35-21, Sandoval lost to Bartelso 50-13, Selmaville fell to Germantown 34-15, Summersville 60-13 over Raccoon, Rome beat Waltonville 50-43 and Field over Spring Garden 41-19.
In Class M games, Nashville routed Sesser 64-10, Okawville 38-14 over Marissa, All Saints beat Lebanon 40-22 and Aviston over Breese 42-7.
