Selmaville is at home against Field after beating Hoffman Trinity 42-32. Kasen Harris had 15 and Rafe James 12 to lead the Rockets. Hoffman won the JV game 26-24. Lucas Howe had 13 in the loss.
Centralia Tigers Varsity lost to Massac County 71-48 in the home opener. JV lost 51-44.
Iuka beat Field 58-17. Eli Bookhout and Hosea Weems had 10 in the win. The Iuka JV won 48-18 with Weems scoring 17 and Trevin Lewis adding 12.
South Central lost to Sacred Heart Effingham 56-29. In the loss, Ben Skibinski had 10 points for the Falcons. Bryce Hayes had 18 and Gabe Traub 16 to lead Sacred Heart. SC won the JV game 31-1. The Falcons put 9 in the balanced scoring column.
Patoka JV blew out Sandoval 41-26 thanks to a 13-0 run in the opening quarter. Carter Thompson led Patoka with 8 on 4-of-7 shooting.
