In junior high boys basketball, night 3 of the St. Mary’s Invitational was Wednesday night.
In the consolation semi-final, the St. Rose Wildcats defeated the NWIGP Indian Eagle Cats with a 34-16 win. Wildcat Clayton Schrage was the game high scorer with 14. Everett Jansen added an additional 11 for the Wildcats.
In the championship semi-final, the Selmaville Rockets walked away with a 58-36 win over the Sandoval Jr. Blackhawks. The game high scorer was Rafe James with 21 for the Rockets. Isaac Knapp added 13 and Kasen Harris was good for another 12.
For the Blackhawks, Marvin McClain was the lead scorer with 12, followed by Camden Kelly with 11.
On Thursday night, the second night of the semi-final round will begin at 6 pm on the consolation side, with the Trinity Defenders taking on the TSJ Titans. The championship side will see the St. Mary-Willow Grove Wildcards battle it out with the Odin Eagles at 7:15.
