The Salem Wildcats soccer team will play in the school’s first ever regional championship on Saturday after setting a new record for wins in a season after their 8-0 regional semifinal win over Lincolnwood at Rochester.  Salem improved to 19-3 and will take on Rochester in the finals after their dominant 7-1 win over Olney.

Salem scored early and often as they took a 5-0 lead by the halftime break.  Eli Baker scored 3 goals to lead the way, Caleb Purintun added 2 along with Robby Shober and a goal from Holden Richardson.

Also in 1a regional semifinals, Wesclin lost to Marquette 8-0, Effingham over Robinson 8-1, Maryville Christian beat Breese Central 5-0.
