Franklin Park is headed back to the Class L state tournament held this year at the Oasis Sports Complex in Marion following Saturday’s 8-0 win at home over Wesclin in the regional title game. Ben Lux and Dakota Gregg combined on the mound for the 1-hitter. Tanner Purintun drove in 2 runs with RBI also from Emit Gibson, EJ Wolfe, Lux, Gregg and Grant Squibb.
The Iuka Pirates won the school’s first ever regional title with a 7-5 win over host Patoka/Odin. The win improves Iuka to 14-4 overall as they prepare for the state opener Saturday in Marion.
Summersville won back to back regional titles as they shutout Ewing 12-0 to win their Class S regional.
Today in Class M regional finals, Okawville will host Aviston for a trip to state. Woodlawn will host Albion.
