The Salem Wildcats will be back at Jim Finks Field tonight when they host the Olney Tigers. Salem is coming off a week 1 loss to Centralia while Olney beat Taylorville to open their season. Game time at 7pm on WJBD.
Also tonight, Centralia is in action in their home opener when they host Collinsville. Mt Vernon is at Carbondale in South Seven play.
In other non-conference games, Mater Dei will play at Breese Central, Jerseyville at Freeburg, Roxana is at Red Bud, Columbia at Waterloo and Wood River hosts Civic Memorial.
There were 2 games played last night in the area due to the lack of officiating crews for tonight. Lawrenceville beat Carlyle 34-12 and in the Black Diamond it was Flora over Carmi 20-14.
