The SC Lady Falcons won a pair of games. Yesterday they beat visiting St Elmo/Brownstown 10-0. Claire Chasteen tossed a 2-hitter striking out 9. Five extra base hits helped SC to the victory. Chasteen and Alexa Gile drove in 2 runs each with the offense led by Ophie Lowry who went 3-4 with 3 RBI.
On Wednesday, 6th grader Skylar Webster threw a 3-inning perfect game as SC beat North Clay 18-0. She struck out 8 of the 9 batters she faced and threw just 36 pitches, 26 of which were strikes.
Rome scored 11 runs in the 3rd inning on their way to a 21-5 win over Field. The Lady Panthers were led by Kylee Holder who went 3-3 with a run scored and RBI. Also driving in runs were Penny Johnson, Hadley Richardson, Chesney Trout and Jayda Schrum.
In middle school softball, Altamont lost 4-1 to Dieterich, Flora beat Lawrenceville 12-6, St Mary Mt Vernon beat Casey Mt Vernon 16-6.
