The Selmaville Lady Rockets posted their 8 win in 10 tries in an 11-1 win over Franklin Park. The Rockets scored 5 runs in the first then 1 each in 2nd, 3rd and 4th then got 3 in the 5th to close the game.
Gabby Goostree pitched well striking out 11 and no earned runs allowed. She gave up just 2 hits and walked three. Offensively Gabby went 3-4 with a triple and an RBI. Karmen Murray went 2-3 with an RBI. Alana Howe was 1-2 with a ground rule double. Grace Rau was 1-2 with an RBI. Gwen Goostree, Gia Ward, Kailey Meredith and Grey Garden all collected hits on the day.
For Franklin Park, Kaylee Carroll was good on the mound striking out 3. Skylar Gaston was good in relief. At the plate McKinleigh Parker was on base twice, Brinn Detmer also had a hit.
The Lady Rockets (9-2) will host a 3 team double header Saturday. Saturdays schedule: 10am Selmaville vs Iuka. 11:45 Iuka vs Odin and the 1:15 contest will be Odin vs Selmaville.
