Centralia grad and John A Logan baseball standout Cruz Harlan will be transferring from Carterville to play for Coastal Carolina University. Coastal Carolina made the College World Series finals this year, losing to LSU. Harlan hit .391 his freshman year in Carterville with 9 homeruns, 43 RBI and scored 75 runs with 26 stolen bases. He had an on base percentage of .523 in 56 games played. Harlen also played for the Thrillbillies Prospect League in Marion this summer.
