Centralia grad Cruz Harlan had a great freshman season for the John A Logan Volunteers. The shortstop hit .391 with 22 extra base hits including 9 home runs and drove in 43. He was also exceptional on the base paths stealing 26 of 28 bags. Harlan received the Region and GRAC Freshman of the Year on top of winning the Region 24 Gold Glove Award with his .948 fielding percentage.
