The Salem 10u split their two games at the Olney Tournament on Saturday. Salem opened tournament play with a 14-0 loss to the Mattoon Hitman. Drew Consolino had the lone Salem hit in the loss.
The Wildcats bounced back with a 19-1 win over the Hoffman 618 Express. Zane Applegate led Salem with 3 hits, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Owen Tennyson drove in 3 with his 2 hits and also scored a pair of runs. Jared Crompton added 3 RBI. Also driving in a run were Kellen Nix, Jax Schaubert, Jayce Keller, Bentley Bryan and Kai Graham.
