A 21-year-old Junction City man was treated on the scene for apparent minor injuries following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Old U.S. 51 at the Red Stripe Road intersection.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Christopher Carrillo told them an animal ran out into the road in front of him. He swerved to miss it, rolled the vehicle off the west side of the road, and struck a power pole, snapping it in half before coming to a stop.
Carrillo was reportedly out of the vehicle upon the arrival of emergency help and was treated by Sandoval Fire and Ambulance. He declined to go to the hospital.
The crash occurred at 5:42 Friday morning.
