Centralia Police have arrested 43-year-old Joshua Turner of Locust Street in Centralia for aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail.  No other details are yet available.

Central City Police arrested 33-year-old Clayton Owen for violation of an order of protection and on an outstanding Marion County Major Traffic Warrant.     Owen, who said he was homeless, was taken to the Marion County Jail on a no-bond warrant.

35-year-old Nicole Duncan, who told Salem Police she was homeless, was arrested on a felony no-bond failure to appear warrant and was taken to the county jail.

25-year-old Charlie Bounds was arrested by Centralia Police for domestic battery.  Bounds, who told police he was homeless, was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges and a first appearance in court.

The Salem Fire Protection District was called out early Saturday morning to a smoke alarm at Salem Building Materials on South Broadway.  Firemen found an office chair close to a wall heater that caused scorch marks on the chair.   The haze from the scorching apparently set off the smoke alarm.  Firemen reported the alarm acted properly and may have saved a more serious situation later.
