Mary Ann Schroeter, 83, of Richview, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts and going to rummage sales. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Mary Ann Schroeter will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 12:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Monsignor David Darin officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Relay for Life Team “Discombulated” and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Schroeter Family. Mary is survived by her four children: Patsy DuBrock and Lee of Goodrich, Michigan, John Kwiatkowski and Cheryl of Walnut Hill, Roger Kwiatkowski and Tracy of Walnut Hill, and Ronnie Kwiatkowski of Richview; 9 grandchildren: Marvin Harnish, Shamus Kwiatkowski, Michelle Morgan; Nicole DuBrock, Christian DuBrock, Jenna Kwiatkowski, Roger Kwiatkowski, Jr., Cassandra Kwiatkowski, and Kaleb Kwiatkowski; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother: Richard Radake of Scheller; a sister: Agnes George of Tamaroa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born April 5, 1937 in Scheller, the daughter of Thomas Radake and Ceclia (Waligorski) Radake. She married Walter Kwiatkowski on April 23, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1973. Mary later married Bruno Schroeter on February 9, 1974 and he preceded her in death in January of 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Ceclia Radake, two husbands: Walter Kwiatkowski and Bruno Schroeter, a son: Gary Kwiatkowski, and seven brothers and sisters.
