Kaskaskia College hit 10 three pointers, 8 in the first half, and they held on to beat Olney Central 82-75. Payton Sheen hit 4 consecutive three’s in the first half to help KC build their 37-29 halftime lead. He finished with 21, Shomari Tillett added 15 with 12 each from Traeveion Jones and Chauncey Hughes. Chris White added 10 including an emphatic dunk in traffic to help ice the game. Tristen Hercules came in and played well off the bench finishing with 8. Elijah Farr had 22 for Olney. The Blue Devils are 8-8 on the season and 5-7 in the GRAC with a trip to Lake Land coming up on Saturday.
The Olney Lady Knights outscored Kaskaskia College 32-14 in the 2nd quarter on their way to a 98-89 victory over the Blue Angels. Daija Snipes and Charmaine Murray led OCC with 23 and 22 points respectively. Macy Robbins finished with 18 and Allison Harris 16. KC put 5 in double figures led by Kyra Duncan with 22, Reyna Bullock added 18, Melea Lovelace 15, Janiah Newell 13 and Tahra Davis 10. Olney was 19-of-27 from the free throw line to KC’s 13-of-20. The Blue Angels fall to 4-11 overall and 3-8 in the GRAC as they head to Rend Lake College for a road game on Saturday at 5.

The KC softball game at home against Frontier for today is cancelled and will be re-scheduled for March 28 starting at 1pm with a double header.
