The South Central Lady Cougars opened up their volleyball season under new coach Megan Murphree who graduated from South Central and played under Hall of Fame coach Mary Brimberry and before that under Coach Larry Urban at St Peter. The Lady Cougars knocked off Patoka 25-14, 25-16. The JV earned a 3-set victory and the fresh/soph team also won in straight sets. SC will be at home tonight when they take on Neoga.
The Salem Lady Wildcats look for their first win of the season tonight when they play at Centralia.
