Jace Lackey, 17, of Centralia, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Jace was an intelligent, loving, compassionate young man with a wonderful sense of humor and the most infectious laugh. He enjoyed gaming with his brothers, cousin and friends. He had dreams of one day becoming a game designer or playing on a professional level in competitions. Jace was a loving son and brother and will be missed greatly by the many lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11 AM at The Rock Church in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. In addition to his parents, Carol Lackey and Jerry Leineke of Centralia and Anthony Bailey of Mt. Vernon, he is also survived by his grandparents: Carol Wright of Centralia and Roger Bailey of Herod, Illinois; four brothers: Joshua Lackey and Tiffani of Centralia, Jaden Lackey of Centralia, Jude Lackey of Centralia, and Tanner Bailey of Henderson, Kentucky; a sister: Bryanna Cobb of Coello, Illinois; a nephew: Joshua Lackey; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special aunt and uncle: Shirlene and Lyle; special cousins: Chuck and son: Raiden, Travis, Hannah, Nik, and Justin, and dear family friend: Si Harries.
He was born October 17, 2003, in Centralia, the son of Carol Lackey and Anthony Bailey. Jace was preceded in death by his grandfather: Floyd Wright, grandmother: Jeanette Bailey, and an uncle: Jerry Wright.
