The Franklin Park boys and girls bowlers both qualified for the upcoming SIJHSAA State Tournament in O’Fallon after qualifying in Carterville over the weekend.
The boys, playing without Wes Hunter, finished 2nd to Herrin 2036-2006 with Carterville and Anna also moving on. Individually moving on were Gage Reaney of Mt Vernon and Triston Bierman of Central City.
The Lady Bobcats also advanced with a 2nd place finish to Anna 1538-1534 with Selmaville advancing 3rd with 1373 and Woodlawn the final team to advance. Herrin’s Sidnee Nelson and Mallory Hopkins of Carterville also advanced.
Advancing from the Northern Regional on the boys side will be Mascoutah, Fulton, Collinsville and Grant. And on the girls side it was Collinsville, Lebanon, Wesclin and Mascoutah.
