The SIJHSAA State girls basketball tournaments open up today at Rend Lake College. The Class L Tournament starts at 9:30 with Herrin and Hamilton County followed by Trico and Mt Carmel, then Harrisburg and Wolf Branch with the final first round game at 1:15 featuring Franklin Park and Waterloo.
The Class S Tournament then begins at 2:30 with Summersville against New Hope followed by St John and St Rose, Trinity plays Bartelso at 5 and then Meridian and New Simpson Hill at 6:15.
