The Salem Lady Wildcats couldn’t find enough offense as they fell in their semifinal at the Vandalia Mid-Winter Tournament to top-seed Effingham 51-33. Salem was playing without senior guard Emma Gregg who is out the rest of the tournament with an injury. Jordan Kessler led Salem with 8, Natalie Lee added 7 and Kinley Eagan finished with 6. Salem will finish up play in the 3rd place game tomorrow.
Also last night, Greenville edged conference rival Vandalia 75-70. Vandalia will play Mattoon in the 5th place game tomorrow morning. Ollie Whitehead had 26 points in the win, Madison Lupton added 25 and Bella Walk 17.
