The NTC Girls Tournament opened up. SC fell to Dieterich 56-34 in the play-in game. Kaitlyn Swift and Baylee Brown had 10 each for the Lady Cougars. SC will fall into the consolation side to take on CHBC while Dieterich will take on top-seed St Anthony in quarterfinal action tonight at 6pm.
Brownstown/St Elmo used a third quarter run to pull away from CHBC outscoring them 20-8 and went on to win 66-52. The Bombers got 21 from Dayana Haslett, 18 from Addie Sasse and 16 from Madi Miller. BSE will take on Altamont in semifinal matchup.
The Lady Indians used a balanced scoring attack to beat Neoga 63-58. Altamont was led by Avery Aldrich with 17, Reagan Kuenstler and Kylie Osteen had 13 each and Kaylee Lurkins finished with 12.
