The North Wamac/Irvington/Grand Prairie Tournament finished last night. New Horizon beat St Mary/Willow Grove in the title game 53-34. Hunter Malekovich had 20 and Asher Veller 18 in the win. Jimmy Gaston had 11 in the loss.
Sandoval beat North Wamac in the 3rd place game 44-34. Josh Reams and Jacob Wilbur had 15 and 14 for Sandoval. Dawson Dearing had 19 in the loss and Mayson Pearson 13.
In the Consolation game, Ashley beat the North Wamac JV 43-14. Wyatt McConnell had 12 and Wade Zgonina 10 in the win along with Cole Feltman.
1st team All Tournament went to James Gaston and Kyson Waters of St Mary, Asher Veller and Hunter Malekovich of New Horizon with their teammate Eli Marcum named Tournament MVP.
On the 2nd team was Sandoval’s Josh Reams and Marvin McClain, Dawson Dearing and Mayson Pearson of North Wamac and Wade Zgonina of Ashley.
