The Salem Lady Wildcats traveled to Roxana and came away with a 42-31 win. 2nd half struggles and obstacles led the Lady Cats to see their big lead dwindle, but they held on at the end. Junior Jordan Kessler led the Cats with 14 and Emme Gregg finished with 12.
Also in girls hoops, Breese Central routed Wood River 74-29, Carlyle nipped Okawville in overtime 46-44, Columbia beat Freeburg 48-41, Vandalia over Pana 47-40.
