The Salem Township Hospital Board was told Wednesday afternoon that the hospital has a new orthopedic provider.
Dr. Kevin Koth of Troy, Illinois is currently holding office hours ten days a month and is available for surgical call coverage.
Hospital President Kendra Taylor says Koth’s services expand what had been available in the past from Dr. Jeffrey McIntosh.
“That’s our hope to be able to increase the number of surgical visits, potential swing bed patients that have had joint replacement or fracture repair. So it’s certainly a plan we are hoping to be able to increase both our outpatient and swing bed services as well as physical therapy referrals.”
Dr. Koth began offering services at Salem Township Hospital last week.
