The Salem boys and girls basketball teams return to Cahokia action tonight. The Wildcats will take their 1-5 record and 1-3 mark to the floor trying to avenge an earlier season loss to the Freeburg Midgets. Game time from B.E. Gum for the varsity game will be at 7:30 with Bill Hawley and Craig Holmes with the call.
The Lady Cats try to bounce back after their first Conference loss of the year as they head to Freeburg to try and sweep the season series. That game will not be broadcast this evening.
Also tonight in girls basketball, Centralia is at Carbondale while South Central hosts Brownstown/St Elmo and Christ Our Rock is at home with Gibault.
Last night, South Central went on the road and improved to 4-1 with their 54-42 win at Waltonville. Keenin Wilshire had 15 to lead SC with Collin Miller and Ethan Watwood scoring 12 each.
