A 34-year-old Sandoval woman has been arrested for aggravated battery after allegedly stabbing a male acquaintance at her home Monday night.
Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps said Sierra Stokes of South Mine denied anything happened when they arrived at her home to investigate. However, the alleged victim later returned to the scene where a stab wound to his leg was visible. Sandoval EMS treated The victim on the scene before going to an area hospital via private vehicle. Cripps said the injuries did not appear serious.
The stabbing apparently occurred during a disagreement where Stokes wanted the victim to leave.
The sheriff’s department received the call at 6:30 Monday night.
