For the third year, Kinmundy Police participated in the Shop with a Cop program.
Chief Joe Duffy says the program is made possible by a donation of nearly $5,000 from the Kinmundy Methodist Church. He reports 14 kids were picked this year to participate by school officials.
“It’s fun. It’s growing every year. There’s more kids and we have a good time doing it, we really do.” Duffy said. “Toys, unicorns, a lot of socks, books, and Nerf guns of course.”
Duffy says the participants also got to shop for family members. He was joined by Kinmundy part-time officer Jeremy Howell in shopping with the kids at the Salem Walmart store on Saturday.
