The Salem Fire Protection District reports about two acres of brush and woods burned in a fire late Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was on the John Richardson property in the 3100 block of Levy Road near Lake Centralia. Richardson had a controlled burn that got blown out of control by the brisk winds. Firemen report no buildings were threatened by the fire.
The fire call came in at 3:30. Firemen were on the scene for about 1.5 hours.
