The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,922 new confirmed and probable cases of the coronavirus disease on Saturday along with 42 additional deaths. One of the deaths was a male in his 80s from Wayne County. It is the 52nd death in Wayne County.
IDPH reports 77,813 doses of vaccination were given on Friday, bringing the total number of doses administered to 2,139,519.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate is 2.8-percent.
