Salem Will Open Benton Christmas Classic With Old Apollo Rival

The bracket is out for the Benton Christmas Classic girls basketball tournament that will run from December 27 through the 30th.

The Salem Lady Wildcats will play in the tournaments 2nd game at 10:30 against a former Apollo Conference rival Mt Zion.  It follows the opening between the Lady Rams of Mount Vernon and the Benton JV.  Following the Salem game on the top side of the bracket will be Vienna against Carterville and then Carbondale takes on Hamilton County.

The bottom bracket begins at 3pm with Civic Memorial and West Frankfort followed by Harrisburg and Olney, then Carlyle takes on Herrin before Benton and Triad finish the opening day.
