The Carlyle Kaskaskian Classic continued last night. Pinckneyville routed Okawville 72-45. In the loss, Rockets 6-9 big man Aidan Anderson went over 1000 points finishing with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Also last night Carlyle beat Flora 49-28. Tonight, Hillsboro takes on Woodlawn followed by Riverview Gardens and Greenville.
At the DuQuoin Tournament, Carmi White County lost to Sparta 74-65 but in the loss Mitchell Edwards scored a school record 47 points. Also last night, Herrin beat Sesser Valier 64-51 and Chester over DuQuoin 62-54. Tonight, Murphysboro takes on Cairo followed by Herrin and Sparta and then Carmi and Sesser.
At the Goreville Invite last night, Anna beat Hardin County 54-45 and Goreville over Harrisburg 49-48. Tonight, Hardin takes on Benton followed by Anna and Goreville.
At the Hamilton County Foxes Invite last night, West Frankfort beat Galatin County 57-38, Hamilton County over NCOE 60-33 and Wayne City beat Edwards County 53-47. Tonight it’s NCOE taking on Edwards County, Gallatin County plays Wayne City and Hamilton County takes on West Frankfort.
At the Trico Invite last night, Gibault nipped Trico in overtime 44-42 and Steeleville routed Red Bud 64-41.
