Happy Thanksgiving!
Most government offices are closed for the holiday both Thursday and Friday.
Locally, that includes area courthouses and Salem and Centralia City Halls.
Trash pickup in Salem will be one day late, with Thursday pickup being completed on Friday. The leaf vacuum will not operate until Monday when it will resume its collection route on your normal trash collection day.
In Centralia, Thursday trash and landscape waste pickup will be on Friday and Friday pickup on Saturday. There will be no leaf vacuum service until Monday.
There will be no home mail delivery on Thursday, but delivery will resume for Friday and Saturday. Financial institutions are also closed for Thanksgiving, but will reopen Friday and Saturday.
