The SC Cougars opened up their season at the Mulberry Grove Thanksgiving Tournament with a dominant 90-28 win over Ramsey. Brody Markley led 4 in double figures for SC with 21, Seth Bergmann added 18, Hudson Moore 15 and Westin Neilson added 13.
Also last night at Wesclin, Columbia opened with a 74-45 win over Christ Our Rock.
Centralia opened up the Roxana Hoopsgiving Tournament with a 61-21 win over Wood River. East St Louis beat Roxana 65-51 and Freeburg lost to Marquette 61-51.
At St Anthony, Breese Central lost to Champaign Central 57-50, and the host Bulldogs beat Rantoul 77-47.
North Clay dropped their opener at Cumberland on a buzzer-beater by Marshall 59-57.
