CENTRALIA, IL – Olivia Neudecker, a senior at Centralia High School and standout student-athlete, has signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Kaskaskia Community College, where she will play soccer under head coach Joe Basch. While currently undecided, Neudecker is leaning toward pursuing a nursing degree.
“I’m excited to continue my soccer career at Kaskaskia Community College,” said Neudecker. “This opportunity means a lot to me, and I can’t wait to start this new chapter.”
Neudecker, a defensive center back, has established herself as one of Centralia’s premier defenders, earning Defensive Player of the Year honors in both her sophomore and junior seasons. As a freshman, she received the prestigious Golden Annie award, demonstrating her immediate impact on the program. Her defensive excellence has been developed through both her high school career under coach Lundyn Waithe and her club experience with the Lou Fusz Soccer Club in St. Louis.
A dedicated athlete, Neudecker has played three sports throughout her time at Centralia while maintaining her position on the high honor roll. Along with soccer, she has competed in basketball all four years and recently qualified for the state tennis tournament in doubles with her partner Maddy Francois. Her experience as a standout defender, combined with her strong leadership skills and competitive drive, will make her a valuable addition to the Kaskaskia Blue Angels defense next fall.
