The IHSA State Soccer season came to an end at Hoffman Estates. Columbia lost in the 1a 3rd place game 2-1 to Mendota in Penalty Kick. Normal U High won the state title beating Cristo Rey Jesuit 3-0.
Belleville Althoff scored a goal in the 2nd overtime to win the 2a state title 3-2 over Chicago De La Salle. Prairie Ridge won the 3rd place match 1-0 over Lemont.
Edwardsville lost in the 3a 3rd place match to Hinsdale Central 3-1. Hersey won the title over Chicago Lane 1-0 in PK’s.
