The Althoff Crusaders won the Illinois College Super Sectional to advance to the 2a state final four knocking off Chatham Glenwood 3-2 in penalty kicks. Althoff will play in the 2a state final four on Friday at Hoffman Estates when they take on Lemont at 1:30. The 2nd semifinal will be at 3:15 between Chicago De La Salle and Prairie Ridge.
In 3a, Edwardsville knocked off Naperville Central in penalty kicks 3-2 to win the Normal Community Super Sectional. After going through regulation and 2 overtimes tied at 2-2, the Tigers won the PK 4-2. Edwardsville advances to the state final four Friday at 7:45 against Chicago Lane. The opening semifinal will see Arlington Heights Hersey taking on Hinsdale Central at 6pm.
