The Selmaville Rockets had their game-tying 3-pointer hit the rim and bounce off as they fell to Central City to open their season 55-52. Heydin Purcell had 35 in the loss with Owen Becker adding 12. Keaton Morgan led the Citians with 19, Brayden Wood had 11 and Gavin Berry finished with 10. The Rockets fell in the JV game 32-23. Archie Goewey had 14 in the win for Central City, Wyatt McCarty had 5 for the JV Rockets. Aaden Rostance, Carter Lowe and Liam Sullivan finished with 4 each.
Raccoon opened up their season with a 52-9 at Kell. Miking Ettress and Braden Rector led the Devils with 11 each. Mike Organ added 9, Caden Lamb 8. The JV also had a big win with Lucas Deomes and Caden Lamb leading the way with 8 points.
North Clay opened up with a hard fought 28-23 win over Dieterich. Zimdars had 13 in the win for the Indians.
