The National Trail Conference Tournament continued last night. The SC Cougars knocked off Windsor/Stew-Stras 3-2 to advance to Saturday’s finals.
The Hatchets led 2-1 until the Cougars scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead. Trevan Sidwell went the complete game allowing 1 earned run and scattering 8 hits.
At the plate, he doubled going 2-3 as well. Evan Hoover singled home two runs and Maddux Robb also drove in 1. Luke Shumate scored twice and Chase Guerrettaz also added a run.
SC advances to the tournament championship Saturday at noon against the winner of Altamont/St Anthony. The loser of that game will play Windsor for 3rd.
