There is a real local flare at the boys 2a Sectional held at the Union County Country Club in Anna. Salem’s Kyler Sapp and Logan Lockhart will represent the Cats. Daven Cook will compete for the Orphans along with Mount Vernon’s Xander Ashby and Blake Brown who all qualified out of the Waterloo Regional along with Waterloo, Columbia and Highland.
Also at Anna today will be qualifiers from Mattoon which include Effingham, Charleston and Mattoon with Olney’s Ayden Nealis, Reese Glover and Carsyn Ameter also moving on. Also those who qualified out of the Roxana and Herrin Regionals will also compete.
In 1a boys action at the Franklin County Country Club in Zeigler those advancing out of the Carlyle Regional will compete. They are Mater Dei, Red Bud and Waterloo Gibault with Sandoval’s Beau Chapman playing along with Nashville’s Miles Taylor and Lucas Dunn.
Also there today are qualifiers from St Anthony. They include the Bulldogs, TTown and Carmi with Flora’s Andrew Puckett. Vandalia’s Owen Halford advanced to play from Mt Olive and also the Cobden representatives will also be there today.
