It’s homecoming week for the Salem Wildcats football team as they prepare to host 2nd ranked Breese Central Friday night to Jim Finks Field. Salem enters at 1-4 on the season and 1-1 in the Cahokia Conference after last week’s loss at Roxana. Central enters at 5-0 and 2-0 with their win last week at home over Wood River.
On Saturday in prep football action, Casey shutout Lawrenceville 33-0, East St Louis 55-0 over O’Fallon, Eldorado nipped Hamilton County 16-8, Johnston City routed Flora 50-14, Mt Carmel outguns Paris 34-27 and Robinson over Marshall 15-12.
