The South Central Lady Falcons won their IESA State Softball quarterfinal at Champion Fields in Normal yesterday beating Mazon-Verona-Kinsman 8-4. SC trailed 4-0 after 2.5 innings, but scored three in the bottom of the third and 2 more in the fourth to take the lead and then added on from there. Emmie Ruholl doubled going 3-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Rylan Williams went 2-4 with 2 RBI and Kyndl Bolen added an RBI. Annie Ruholl was the winning pitcher going all 7 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 earned runs. SC will take on Cambridge Junior High at 9:30 this morning. The winner will play for the state title, with the loser playing in the 3rd place game. SC is coached by Salem grad Alex Phillips.
