Franklin Park Lady Bobcats will host their opening round SIJHSAA Class L Regional opener this afternoon if the weather and field conditions cooperate. Salem will host Wesclin at 4:15. The Lady Bobcats have a win already this season over Wesclin back on September 12th at home 16-4, but anything can happen in the post season.
In Region 7 play, Patoka will host Sandoval, Willow Grove St Mary’s hosts Central City and Odin will welcome Raccoon/Kell.
In Region 8, Jasper and Iuka will play at 4:30 in Fairfield. The winner will get top-seed New Hope in Thursday’s semifinal.
Weather permitting, the quarterfinals of the Region 6 small school softball regionals will get underway. Waltonville ville host Bethel at 3:30 followed by Field and Ewing.
In Class M Region 7 play Nashville will host Breese and Okawville welcomes Woodlawn. In Region 8 play, Rome takes on the hosts at Fairfield followed by Cisne and Wayne City.
