Brenda Kay Guy, 71, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Brenda was a CNA for 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Centralia. She was a preacher’s wife for 30 years and very involved in the church community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Per Brenda’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Brenda is survived by one son: Danny Guy and wife Bridget of Centralia, one grandchild: Peyton Jolee Guy of Centralia, one sister-in-law: Nora Barber and several nieces and nephews.
Brenda was born August 20, 1949, in Springfield, IL, daughter of Homer and Sylvia Vaughn. She married Arnold Eugene Guy in 1970, and he preceded her in death in 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents: Homer and Sylvia Vaughn, her spouse Arnold Guy, one brother: Dale Vaughn and one brother-in-law: Allan Barber.
