Wildcats Head To Mater Dei
The Salem Wildcats baseball team is scheduled to travel to Breese to take on Mater Dei. They will then head to newly built Mascoutah Baseball Field for a matchup with one of the best 3a teams in the state tomorrow for a double header.
The Orphans host state ranked North Clay.
OPS Handles Brownstown
Yesterday, Odin/Patoka/Sandoval outhit Brownstown/St Elmo, but they fell short 9-2. Bo Chapman led OPS with 2 hits. Drew Haines was the starter allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run over 5 innings and struck out 9. Brady Cain and Chapman added RBI. OPS is off until Tuesday when they take on Mulberry Grove.
Effingham Blows Out SC
South Central fell 10-0 at Effingham. Garret Shumate was the starter for SC allowing 8 hits and just 2 earned runs over 4 innings with 7 strikeouts. SC’s defense gave up 8 unearned runs in the game. SC travels to Flora today.
Stallions Fall to Marquette
Christ Our Rock fell to Marquette on the road 8-2. Brayden Albert drove in a run in the loss. Noah Kenley went 3-4. Albert was the losing pitcher allowing 2 earned runs out of the 8 given up. The Stallions will play at Breese Central on Monday.
