A bad hop at 3rd base cost the South Central Cougars a chance to get out of a 6th inning jam, but turned into 7 runs as they fell to St Anthon in Effingham 7-1. The Cougars had taken a 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth with an RBI from Hudson Moore scoring Callaway Smith. Smith finished with 2 hits including a double. Maddux Robb had 2 hits as well. Luke Shumate and Zane Montes added singles. Trevan Sidwell worked 5.2 solid innings with Garret Shumate getting the final out. Brock Fearday was the winning Bulldogs pitcher with the complete game 7-hitter with 6 strikeouts and no earned runs allowed.
