Helen Mae Green, 91, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Fireside House of Centralia.
Helen had attended the First United Methodist Church when she was able and never missed her opportunity to volunteer every Tuesday to help with the clothes drive. She will be remembered by those that knew her as a kind, caring, and generous person. Her loss is felt deeply by her family as they will miss her very dearly.
Per Helen Green’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Private Graveside Service will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Central City with Pastor Mike Pennington officiating. Helen was born July 5, 1929, in Centralia, the daughter of William Casseday and Flossie (Bryant) Casseday. Helen married Jack Allen Green on November 3, 1947, and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2009.
Helen is survived by her three children: Jack Green, Jr. of Centralia, Judy Green Riley of Mt. Vernon, Jeff Green of Centralia; three grandchildren: Dennis Riley of Mt. Vernon, Tamie Wooters and husband Jeff of Centralia, and Michele Kirchner and husband Brian of Centralia; five great-grandchildren: Damien Riley, Adrien Riley, Taylor Guern and husband Jarrod, Zack Weaver, and Blake Justin; three great-great-grandchildren: Renlee Guern, Everly Guern, and Eli Weaver; and one sister-in-law: Sally Casseday of Florida.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents: William and Flossie Casseday; husband: Jack Green, Sr.; two brothers: William and Robert Casseday; one sister: Mami Lovejoy; and her daughter-in-law: Toni Green.
