Snow Lifts Orphans To Walk-Off Win
Dax Snow hit the walk-off single to lift the Orphans over Belleville East 4-3. The Orphans led 1-0 in the sixth when East tied the game. Belleville took the lead in the 7th 3-1 on RBI singles by Reid Neumayer and Connor Gray. The Orphans took the lead back in the bottom of the 7th after Drew Jack and Gabe House each singled Snow came up with the heroics. Gabe Houser was the winning pitcher in relief of starter Michael Organ. Gabe Houser had 3 hits to lead Centralia. The Orphans are back at home tomorrow against Mt Carmel.
OPS Loses Early Lead In Loss To Maroons
Odin/Patoka/Sandoval saw a 7-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning turn into a 10-7 loss to Dietrich on the road. Kyan Walker drove in 3 OPS runs, Ben Spencer added 2 and Kody Burks also drove in a run. Brady Cain led the Eagles with 2 hits. Brady Haines and Lance Nix pitched in the loss. OPS will travel to Wayne City today.
NC Knocks Off Fairfield
North Clay improves to 17-3 with a 6-1 win over Fairfield. Cayden Craig was the winning pitcher giving up 2 hits and 1 run over 4.1. Austin Grieve took the loss allowing just 2 earned runs on 1 hit. Ian Jones and Cody Zimdars each threw scoreless innings for the Cards. Trevan Sidwell drove in 2 runs going 2-2. North Clay will travel to South Central today.
