Patricia Marie Wood, 92, of Salem, Illinois, formerly of Wayne City, Illinois, passed away on December 17, 2020 at Twin Willows Nursing Center in Salem. Patricia worked as a beautician and also ran a fish market in Cave In Rock, Illinois. She was of the Protestant faith and attended Church of the Harvest. In her spare time, Patricia volunteered at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was an avid bowler and golfer, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. Patricia will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Patricia is survived by her children, Sheila Simpson and husband, Tom of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Vicki Clark and husband, Bill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Tina Hiatt and husband, Randy of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren, Talia Hoffman, Mandi Legg and husband, Kevin, Lance Miller and wife, Melissa, Craig Clark and wife, Montie Jo, Arjaye Hiatt and wife, Karlee, Elijah Hiatt and wife, Becka, and Dusty Miller; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Chatman of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Young of Memphis, Tennessee and Patty Young of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born May 20, 1928 in Oklahoma to the late Daniel and Ethel (Gray) Young. Patricia married Wilbert Herbert Wood and he preceded her in death in July 2013. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Clark; and siblings, Peggy Dawson, Bill Young, Dan Young, and LeRoy Young.
